Norderstedt, January 21, 2025 – G-SHOCK today presents the MRG-B2100R-2ADR, the latest addition to the MR-G collection, the Japanese brand's Premium Line. The new MRG-B2100R combines traditional Japanese aesthetics and Zen sensibilities with the ultimate strength and beauty of G-SHOCK in its design.

The MRG-B2100R's elegant dial features a clear geometric pattern inspired by the Japanese Kigumi. Kigumi is a traditional Japanese construction and woodworking technique that involves making wood joints without additional materials such as nails or glue. The deep blue Ao Zumi color accents used in the design symbolize serenity and depth and are reminiscent of the blue-tinged sumi ink used in traditional Japanese ink painting and calligraphy.

The dial of the MRG-B2100R has a wavy shape with elegantly placed cut-outs, which together create a three-dimensional, geometric Kumiko^* pattern. The pattern is not only a sophisticated design feature, but also allows enough light to generate solar power through the cut-outs. The dial was completely vapor-coated with the deep blue Ao-Zumi color. Further color accents can be found on parts of the bezel, which are finished using ion plating, which contrasts strongly with the deep black DLC coating of the case.

The Kumiko artisans draw from the extensive treasure trove of forms of Japanese ornamentation and create geographical grid structures from delicate wooden strips

The MR-G's distinctive octagonal 2100 case consists of a complex bezel made up of a total of 27 individual parts, which are precisely polished down to the most difficult recesses to achieve a flawless metal surface. The external components are individually polished by master craftsmen and then assembled in a process as demanding as Kigumi woodworking itself. The top bezel is made of COBARIONTM^**, an alloy developed in Japan with a hardness approximately four times that of pure titanium, and the bracelet is made of DAT55G, a titanium alloy whose hardness is approximately three times that of pure titanium.
